Learning Photoshop: A Beginner’s Guide

Photoshop has a plethora of learning materials available on the Internet. However, if you are someone who is new to Photoshop and you do not even know the basics, these materials can seem to be a little cumbersome. However, this guide would make things easier for you.

5 Important Photoshop Tools

If you get to know the basics of Photoshop, it is important that you know about its various tools and their usages.
While it is absolutely impossible to mention all the tools, here’s a list of the most important among them:

1.Keyboard V - Move Tool
This tool lets you move objects around the canvas in the same layer. All you need to do is click on it and drag it around as per your requirements.

2.Keyboard M - Marquee
This lets you select parts of the canvas in specific shapes like rectangular, ellipse etc.

3.Keyboard L - Lasso
It helps you to select areas on the canvas that are covered under the Lasso area.

4.Keyboard W - Magic Wand
This tool helps in removing the background from photos.

5.Keyboard C - Crop Tool
Use this crop pictures and adjust the size according to your requirement.

There are loads of other tools that you can use while editing photos or while doing high end beauty retouching of photos. Now, let us look at what Photoshop exactly does:

Correct Color
All you need to figure out during photo color correction is what colors are complementary and use these to cancel out other colors that have a strong and prominent presence. You would also need to make out the places where the colors are more prominent. You can do this seeing the photo carefully and you can make the required adjustments using the Image Menu.

Balance Colours
Photoshop offers a tool for color balance and that is not a very flexible one. You can use only when there are minor adjustments to make, like if the red color is too prominent etc. You need to use the Highlights radio button to make the adjustment.

Levels
Photoshop offers you three main sliders. Shadows slider is to the left and that lets you enhance the shadow intensity. Highlights slider is on right and you can use it to increase highlights intensity on your photo. And finally, there is the mid-tones slider at the middle to make your photo light or dark.

Curve
A great color correction tool, this might seem intimidating initially. However, you would love the tool once you get used to it. You can use this to adjust the entire photo or a part of it and it is easy to use as well.

Photo Enhancing and Retouching
Photoshop even lets you retouch your photos. You remove dry skin, wound marks, etc. from an image and make it look nice.

These are some things that you should know if you want to edit your photos on Photoshop. However, hiring professional photo editors is a better option as they have an experience in ghost mannequin service and do everything else in a better way.

5 Reasons Why You Should Outsource Your Photo Editing Requirements

Photo editing happens to be one of the most outsourced works in the world. There are numerous photo editing service providers around the world and they offer all kinds of photo editing services. Starting from photo retouching services to removing the background, they do all. If you are still considering whether you should outsource your photo editing requirements or not, consider the following five reasons.

1.Use Your In-House Team For Something Better

Photo editing is a time-consuming process and something most photographers do not like. It can get repetitive as they need to meet their clients’ needs exactly. Instead of having your talented photographers do nothing and waste their time over doing minor edits on the images, you can have them do something better. You can pitch to clients for more work when you have your team free. You can use them to do more creative work that probably others cannot. You would not only get time to do more projects but you would also save money in the process.

2.Save On Software

When it comes to photo editing, you need to spend a lumpsum amount of money on the editing software programs. You can prevent this when you outsource your editing requirements to agencies whose job is editing photographs. Specialized software suites can cost thousands of dollars, unless you are using the illegally. And when you do not have to spend on the same, you can invest that money elsewhere and beef up your marketing efforts to bring in more clients.

3.Reduce Risk

Chances are high that most of the photographers you hire do not have the skills required to edit images. Photo editing is an art and not everybody can do it. You can say that you would hire a person who is both good at photography and editing. However, your HR would always not be lucky to come across such people.

When you outsource photo editing, you do not have to worry about this and your primary focus can be on hiring talented and skilled photographers who can create stories with their lenses. Photo editors would just the polish the story and make your clients happy.

4.Get To Work With Skilled Professionals

Though you are not hiring editors to work in your team, you have access to their services. Most entrepreneurs lack the knowledge and skills required to edit images for their websites, blogs, brochures etc. As an entrepreneur, you are need to look after and expand the business and not edit photos. Outsource your requirements and you are good to go.

5.Increased Returns On Investment

Money saved is money earned. When you outsource your requirements to editors, you do not have to hire them, pay them salaries, invest in infrastructure, etc. This would surely help you save a lot of money.

However, it is important that you hire the right agency for photo editing works. Choose an experienced clipping path service provider for background removal service or anything else that you are looking for.
